ILIODORA MARGELLOS
Thessaloniki International Film Festival 61
The natural flow of embroidery follows the rhythm of the film ‘Sow the Wind,’ representing both a rejuvenation and/or a decaying past of a rural community struggling to preserve the integrity of its heritage. In accordance to the film, ‘Bete Noire’ presents an ambivalent meaning. The continuous movement of the thread follows the emotional path of the young protagonist and symbolically praises her efforts.
